How to file a TDS claim on Amazon and check TDS reimbursement.

Are you selling on Amazon? Are you a deductor on Amazon? If yes, then here is the procedure to know how to file a TDS claim on Amazon India and how to check the TDS reimbursement.

Being an online seller (E-Commerce participant) on Amazon (E-Commerce operator), if the provisions of TDS are applicable to you like Section 194H, Section 194C, Section 194IB, Section 194J, etc., then you are required to deduct TDS on the commission invoices raised by the Amazon for the various head(s) of expenditure(s).

It is necessary to file a Valid TDS return in order to generate Form 16A (TDS Certificate) from the TRACES website.

Digitally signed Form 16A will be the preferred choice for the online seller(s) for faster processing of the TDS claim.

Steps to file a TDS claim on Amazon

Step 1:

Login to your seller central dashboard. On the left bottom side of the page, you will find out “Help”, adjacent to the “Programme Policies”. Click on the help to proceed.

Step 2:

Search for “Need more help?” at the bottom side and click on get support.

Select “Selling on Amazon” as shown in the image below.

Online seller can describe the issue and then proceed it or they can just simply browse their issue in the menu.

Under Get support you have to select “other Issues”

Step 3:

The online seller has to select “Tax questions” under the other issues and under the Contact Reason just mentioned the reason as shown in the image.

Describe your reason for contact and under the additional information, the online seller has to upload the Original digitally signed Form 16A (TDS Certificate) as an attachment and provide your contact number in case of any query arise.

Case ID will generate after you submit your request and for any future reference you have to mention the said case id for any query in relation to this content.

You will get the Case ID at your registered email id and normally what we have observed in case of digitally signed Form 16A, the claim is approved within a few minutes.

You will get another email from Amazon, stating that thank “We are pleased to inform you that your TDS reimbursement claim has been approved successfully”

Step to Check the TDS reimbursement on Amazon:

Login to your Seller central account and go to reports, then payments.

Click on COD transaction and then transaction view tab.

Select Filter view by: others and click on Update.
